iPhone 5 Complete Review

iPhone 5 is the latest version of popular series of Apple's smartphone, the iPhone. This is the sixth generation mobile phone and succeeds iPhone 4S. There was a lot of hype regarding the release of iPhone 5 because Apple's tech nemesis Samsung was also coming up with their own mobile phone, Galaxy S3 to make competition stiffer than before. People were wondering what this phone had to offer. Well let's take a look at the iPhone 5 from the outside features to the ones embedded inside the phone itself.

First, as is common to iPhone, iPhone 5 has a LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen 4-inch (640 x 1136 pixels) screen with 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and 16 million colors. Its dimensions are 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm (4.87 x 2.31 x 0.30 inches) weighing 112 grams. This makes it the thinnest and the lightest iPhone ever. Yeah, yeah your wallet can now spare room for some more cash now because there is no competition for space with iPhone 5, how nice!

iPhone 5 can support 4G network with nano SIM. It has an internal memory of maximum 64GB (with 16GB and 32GB available) and 1GB RAM with no external memory card slot. Seriously, who needs a memory card with that amount of memory? I know of some desktops with hard drives of even less than half the memory of this... funny huh! With this kind of memory one can watch a movie with this phone and listen to tons of music. The phone also supports 3.5mm audio jack pin, which can be used for earphones or even loudspeakers.

iPhone 5 is GPRS enabled and supports EDGE technology. Other technologies supported are Wi-Fi connectivity, bluetooth and USB slot. For people with the nudge to not letting any moment pass without capturing it, iPhone 5 has an 8 mega pixel camera on the back side. Camera features include illumination sensor, autofocus, LED flash and it also produces HD videos of 1080p. The front 1.2 mega pixel camera can record HD videos of 720p and is compatible with apps such as Skype and Face Time. For ladies, if you forget to put makeup and you're really late for an interview or something, iPhone 5 can be your best buddy at such times.

With a dual core processor of 1.2GHz, it has iOS 6 operating system that is upgradable to iOS 6.13. The Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is PowerVR SGX 543MP3 (triple-core graphics) and has built-in sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope (detects mechanical rotation), proximity sensor and a compass. A proximity sensor disables accidental touch events such as the ear coming into contact with the screen generating touch events while on a call.

For messaging iPhone has iMessage, SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email and Push Email. Other messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Viber are also available. There is no built-in radio but there are number of apps available for radio streaming. It has an HTML browser, Safari, and is GPS supported. Countless social apps and games are available which keep you busy all day long.

It has a non-removable Li-Po 1440 mAh battery with a talk time of up to 8 hours. The stand-by time is up to 225 hours, that is 9 days 9 hours (wow!). Battery timing with internet use is up to 8 hours with 3G and LTE and up to 10 hours with Wi-Fi. Video playback is up to 10 hours and audio playback is up to 40 hours (1 day, 16 hours).

Well after reviewing all this, what do you say? This is the perfect phone for everyone. For business, for entertainment, I mean everything has been catered for in iPhone 5. It is a fact that all iPhone owners love their iPhone and this is not only attributed to the unique glossy display but also to its reliability and easy of use. The iPhone 5 takes the word 'trendy' and 'sophistication' to a whole nether level. It is evident that a lot of effort has been put by designers in iPhone 5. There are several rivals in the smartphone industry trying to topple the iPhone from dominance but with iPhone 5 Apple has surely proven once more that they are well above the rest.

The phone's 4 inch retina display is also one of the factors that has made it preferable to other smartphones among the masses. One outstanding thing about iPhone is the fact that it has the same width as it predecessor. So it is quite easy to use it with one hand and is not as bulky as other smartphones are. Power is another important factor. The new A6 chip in the iPhone 5 is powerful in terms of performance. A6 chip comes with improved CPU and graphics performance, twice as fast as A5 chip. I would surely enjoy using iPhone 5 since it is remarkably fast.

Nowadays people like being connected at all times. iPhone 5 is a one stop shop for high-speed internet connection. This has been made possible through the use of latest wireless technologies, enabling iPhone 5 to connect to more networks all over the globe. You can browse, stream and download more with the fast wireless connection thus making your online presence a fun-filled experience. One of the most important feature people look for in a smartphone is the internet performance and the iPhone 5 surely is the best among competitors.

This phone is a fascinating device. It has so many advanced features but yet it is so thin and so light. Infact iPhone 5 is the thinnest and lightest mobile phone in the market at the moment. Apple could have taken the easy way out and designed something reasonable and which was not so remarkable. But they did not. Due to the advancement in technology, they were able to make this a master piece. They were determined to provide us with a quality phone and they worked very hard. The final result was iPhone 5: the thinnest, the lightest and the fastest iPhone ever.

I don't think it can get any better than this, so go out there and get yourself an iPhone 5 and start enjoying your life.
